I have never shared restaurant style dal khichdi. There are only two variations and both are shared on the website. Kindly search with the term ‘khichdi’ using the search icon (search feature) on the website and you will surely get both the recipes.

Hi Tammy, yes you can use use tur dal in khichdi. Tur dal will take more time to cook, so you can increase the cooking time to 5 minutes more and add half cup more water – total of 3.5 cups water.

For kachori, I would not suggest to use tur dal. Instead you can use green peas (fresh or frozen) or urad dal or moong dal.
